Bryzzo the Bichon/Shih Tzu Mix | Troy, MI Pet Photography

People think I have the best job ever because I get to photograph dogs and cats, but honestly, interacting with pets really consists 10% of my time. The rest of my time is spent doing the non-glamorous stuff such as emails, client meetings, and photo editing. But I have to say when I do get to spend that 10% working with pets, especially ones like Bryzzo the puppy, OMG. So totally worth it!

Bryzzo is Alpa and Kav’s first puppy together, and like most important milestones in life, they contacted me to help document this part of their life, and I couldn’t be more honored! Bryzzo is probably one of the sweetest and most good-natured pups I’ve ever met (with the cutest underbite!). Although like most puppies, was quite ADD, as he constantly alternated between wanting to play with leaves, toys, and taking a nap during our session, haha.

Kona + Noah | Rochester, MI Pet Photography

“The naughtiest things that these two have done? Kona likes to counter surf, and Noah is currently obsessed with toilet paper and leaves.”

Aside from the occasional mischief that Noah and Kona get themselves into, I have to say I was pretty surprised at how well-trained they both were! And I’m pretty sure that can be attributed to thanks to Christine Fox of Wag ‘N’ Tails Dog Activity Center. If you guys live on the east side and are looking for a wonderful dog trainer, be sure to look her up!

Bing + Maggs + Luna | Canton Pet Photography

Goal for this month? Blog at least four sessions. I’ve been terrible about it this year (who knew 2017 would be so busy?!), and I wanted to apologize to all those who have been waiting so patiently. For the latest updates, go follow me on Facebook and Instagram.

First up is this beautiful pack consisting of Maggs, Luna, and Bing. Maggs is the lab mix, and for some reason, reminded me of one of those “I’m too cool” personalities. While the other two pups were running around hamming it up, she was like meh, haha.

Luna, as you might guess, is the pretty, white pittie. For being under a year old, she was surprisingly the calmest puppy that I have ever photographed. She was also adopted from one of my favorite foster rescue groups, POET Animal Rescue. (If you’re looking to adopt or foster, check them out!)

Bing is one of the most gorgeous pitties that I’ve ever met (have you ever seen a reddish coated one before?) and really shined for the camera. Unfortunately, only a few weeks after the photoshoot, she lost her battle with cancer and crossed over the rainbow bridge. :(
