Ellie + Rosko + Madi | Scottsdale, AZ Pet Photography

Usually there’s one dog that’s completely “shameless” when it comes to being photographed. In this case, Ellie was the winner. While I was working with Rosko or Madi, she would totally get jealous and come running to ham it up for the camera. I think she used to be a model in a previous life–check out her “smizing” photos. Even though she made it a challenge to photograph her siblings, secretly, I love it when dogs love having their photo taken. They give me so many great images. :)

As you can tell, this photo session didn’t take place in Michigan. This past December I went to Scottsdale and spent the afternoon photographing this adorable little trio. Rosko is the yorkie, Ellie is the dachshund, and Madi is the terrier mix with the awesome faux-hawk. With this recent cold weather, I’m totally wishing I was back there. 75 degrees and sunshine? I’ll take it! But I guess these sunny images will have to do for now. :) Thank you and Angala and Aaron for a wonderful session; you two seriously have the cutest furkids!

Catnip Greenies Review | Chewy.com

I’m a lucky participant of Chewy.com‘s Blogger Outreach Program, meaning I get to try out a lot of different pet products in exchange for my honest reviews. The following review are the thoughts and opinions of yours truly, and no way am I paid to endorse the following product.

Ever wrinkle your nose in disgust every time your pet yawns? Yeah, that’s called bad breath.

Achilles is quickly approaching six years old, and despite my attempts to brush his teeth with a pet toothpaste to help keep them clean(er), he’s pretty adamant against me helping him—very politely pushing my hand away with his paw. As a result, despite how much he loves cuddling with me, I can’t help but turn my head every time he yawns.

Now that it’s finally warmer out, I’ve set up an appointment for him (wanted to avoid the drastic/stressful temperature changes from home to vehicle to clinic and back) to get his teeth cleaned, but as a temporary solution, I’ve been feeding him catnip-flavored Greenies (provided generously by Chewy.com). Achilles is kind of picky (surprise, surprise, he is a cat after all), but he seems to love these. Maybe it’s the fact that they’re catnip flavored?

I’ve been giving him probably more than the recommended amount (5-7 pieces/day), but it’s just so satisfying hearing him crunch those treats and imagine all that plaque being scrubbed away! Although it’s not a permanent solution, I have already noticed a significant difference in his breath, which is to say, it’s not as pungent, thank goodness. After he gets his teeth cleaned, I think I’ll continue to use Greenies as a future preventative and maintenance treat.

(First session of the 2015 year!)

I got to photograph two adorable, white furballs aka Fitz and Floyd, although not named after coincidentally, the dinnerware set, haha.

It was too cold to photograph outside that day (windchill was in the negatives, brrr!), but we were able to capture some happy images of Fitz and Floyd doing what they love best—hanging out (and being petted) at home with their people.

This was a special session, as it was an early Valentine’s Day gift to Donna’s husband, and I can think of no better way to celebrate love of both the two-legged and four-legged kind! :)

P.S. If you need help figuring out who’s who–Floyd has the pink nose, and Fitz has the black one.
