After moving back to Michigan from Chicago, Jessi started looking at puppies and quickly fell in love with Layla, who she adopted from Bark Bark Wag.

While Jessi was hoping that Layla would be girly like her, Layla is described more of as a “tomboy” who like to play hard, but also equally nap hard– easily sleeping all day.

To celebrate their one year together, Jessi hired me to document Layla at home, hanging out at home, looking out the window, and cuddling and playing with her hoo-mans.

I loved photographing Layla; she was such a sweetheart, and I love all of her silly expressions!
