2018 – Save the Dates!

Hey all, I’m excited to announce a couple of fun things to this year’s adventures!

1. New York City: NYC dates have been finalized, and I will be out there in June. Half of the spots have been booked already, but I still have the following available:

Thursday, June 21: Manhattan (one spot left!)
Friday, June 22: DUMBO (one spot left!)
Saturday, June 23: Brooklyn Heights (one spot left!)
Sunday, June 24: Manhattan Beach (one spot left!)
Monday, June 25: Flex location

2. @ the Studio: Based on popular demand, I will be offering a limited number of studio sessions in Ypsilanti, MI at Pearl Street Studios on Sunday, July 15th. Studio sessions are only offered 1-2x a year.

3. Traverse City: One of my favorite cities in Michigan! After traveling up there last Fall to photograph Piper, and his hoo-man, Brian, I’ll be there again in August, from the 9th-12th.

4. San Francisco: Due to the number of Michigan sessions, I will be pushing back my San Francisco departure date to October. Live in San Francisco and want to book a session with me while I’m out there? Get in touch!

Zoey the Chocolate Labradoodle | Okemos Pet Photography

Who knew after leaving this small town that I would be returning to photograph a high school classmate’s brother’s and wife’s dog?

Harlori contacted me around Christmas time to purchase a session for her brother and wife, and their dog Zoey, who recently joined their family. And of course, I couldn’t have been more excited! It was almost a reunion of sort (kind of) because I knew her brother from high school but didn’t really know him, haha. So then it was kind of awkward at first, but then not really. Harnoor, and his wife, Avni, were both great about it.

Zoey is a gorgeous 1.5 year old Labradoodle, whose lab and poodle sides were very evident during the shoot. Lab side = rambunctious energy and excitement for everything food/treats-related. Poodle side = very intelligent and quick to learn commands. While Zoey did great with following commands, her puppy (and mischievous) side often took over aka read “I’m bored with getting my photo taken”, so we ended up getting some funny, expressive shots. Which, by the way, I’m completely fine with, because her personality really shows through!
