Dorian the Gray Cat | Kalamazoo Pet Photography
Wow, this year is flying! It’s already March, and there’s only 12 more days until it’s officially Spring (sweet!). Aside from waking up to hearing birds chirp, who are probably as sick of winter as I am, looking outside, with all that snow you wouldn’t even be able to tell. I hope the snow melts soon because spring is one of my favorite times of the year, and it also means we can start having outdoor photo sessions again–not that you can’t have wonderful sessions indoors. : )
Last month, I traveled to Kalamazoo to photograph an adorable little (okay, maybe not so little? lol Sandy ;) ) gray cat, named after the book character Dorian Gray. Thankfully, Dorian was named because of his coloring and not so much for his personality. Personality-wise, he’s actually quite a sweetie and surprisingly, didn’t mind hamming it up for the camera. Sandy was concerned that Dorian would be shy or would just lay there like a couch potato, but I think these images prove otherwise ; ) Thanks Sandy and Ben for being such wonderful sports and making this shoot a breeze!
(Dorian: “Hey lady, what’s a cat gotta do to get fed around here?? A song and dance!?”)
(Dorian: “I’m so zen.”)
And of course, I had to throw these last couple of outtakes in, if only for humor’s sake. ;p
(Making cats do things they don’t like is a lot of fun*)
(Making fun of a cat’s cross expression is also the best!*)
*No cats were harmed in the production of these images.
