Rusty & Scout | Brighton Pet Photography
Think your pets have serious game when it comes to nicknames? Think again.
One of the things that I love learning from my clients are the nicknames they give to their pets. While some are a bit shy about admitting what exactly they call their furkids (I’m sure with good reason, haha), others are less bashful about sharing them with me.
For example, Rusty, a 10 year old mix rescued from the streets of Columbus, OH (which I’m not going to hold against him btw, ahem), has the adorable nicknames of “Little Buddy”, “Rusty Bumpkin”, “Trusty Rusty”, and “The Red Thing”. Then we have Scout here, an 8 year old English Springer Spaniel rescue, who has even more ridiculously awesome nicknames, such as “the Heartspringer”, “Scout Master”, “Scoutpotomas”, “Scotus”, “Scouty of the United States”, “Scouty Boo”, “Zen Master”, and “Dr. Zen”. And those are only the ones that I managed to write down.
Can you imagine how much fun it must be to see the number of silly names that you can come up with for your pet? I feel like I’m quite unimaginative now, now that I think about the nicknames that I’ve given to my furkids– for Achilles: Boo Boo, Baby, Little Monkey, Little Boy and Shoko: Handsome, Tubby (because he likes to eat…), Cutie Pie. ….
“Rusty Bumpkin” and “Dr. Zen” were a lot of fun to photograph. So opposite in personalities, but both amazing dogs. Thanks Jackie and Melinda for such a wonderful photoshoot. I seriously had a hard time picking my favorites to showcase here! :)
