Karly Boy the Tonkinese + Poochie the Papillion | Ann Arbor Pet Photographer
Karly Boy (KB) reminds me of my cat, Achilles, in the sense that they both have blue eyes (semi-related way back in the family tree, somewhere, somehow—Tonkinese and Ragdoll), loves to follow you around, and they’re both talkers—although I guess KB is more of a yowler and has probably used up more of his nine lives than Achilles. KB sports an ID tag that says “indoor cat” along with a tracker, due to his MANY adventures outdoors.
When Peggy contacted me to photograph KB, KB wasn’t feeling too well. He had lost a lot of weight and was having issues with balance and orientation, and the various vets and specialists that he visited have been unable to diagnose him, which I imagine must be quite frustrating. During our session, the disorientation was slightly noticeable, but KB still had plenty of spunk to ham it up for the camera and yowl his many thoughts about the session to me. Poochie, the happiest Papillion I’ve ever met, and KB’s best friend, also joined in on the photo fun.
Thank you Peggy for a wonderful shoot, and for sharing your stories about KB and Poochie. I really enjoyed photographing them in your beautiful home. I hope you love their images, and that KB is feeling better!
KB’s grass-eating face that I got a kick out of; it’s equally terrifying and funny at the same time, and too awesome not to share.
