ABOUT KAT

Having been denied much of her life of cute pets and doing anything artistic, it only naturally made sense to have these two things come together to form Kat’s biggest passion: creating really adorable and beautiful images of other people’s pets.

Due to a childhood that consisted of little TV (b/c the parents were too cheap to pay for cable) and lots of books—Kat has a humorous and overactive imagination. This imagination has served her well in coming up with creative photoshoot ideas. Of course, when working with animals, they often have ideas of their own, so things don’t always work out. But when they do, and even when they don’t, the images are still kind of awesome. :)

Aside from talking about herself in third person, Kat loves in no particular order:

  • Making bad jokes, and laughing at them, which is probably not something she should admit.

  • Yelling “puppy” at every dog that walks by, and excitedly sharing the dog’s breed with whoever happens to be unfortunately walking next to her.

  • Taking cat naps with real cats, aka her furbabies, Achilles and Shoko, and being a human sofa for her puppy-niece, Bailey.

Often commented on how patient she is with pets and their owners, Kat takes her time to get the best shots that capture the personality of your pet. For her most recent work, check out her blog here, and if you are ready to having some amazing photos captured of your pet, go ahead and say hello. Don’t be shy, Kat would love to hear from you!

MEET THE TEAM

Little Feet. Big Farts. Er, Hearts.

Kat Ku Photography - Shoko Lynx Point Ragdoll

SHOKO

“Unintentional Goofball”

7 y.o. Lynx-Point Ragdoll. Probably the most solemn cat that you’ll ever meet. Because of that, he is also unintentionally the funniest. Oh, and he really loves to eat–especially when he’s feeling emotional (which is often). Also known as Shadow #1.

Kat Ku Photography - Achilles Seal Mitted Ragdoll

ACHILLES

“Professional Snugglebug”

7 y.o. Seal-Mitted Ragdoll. Curious, slightly naughty, but oh-so-charming. He is the happiest and chattiest cat ever. Bunny-soft and loves to purr and cuddle. Also known as Shadow #2.

BROPHY

“Old Man DGAF”
(RIP 12/2017)

15 y.o. fur-nephew, Brindle Dachshund. Don’t let those big eyes and gray muzzle fool you. Behind that innocent face is a cunning mind, ready to steal your food and your spot on the couch the minute you turn your head. He makes a great body heater though.

Kat Ku Photography - Bailey Dachshund Scottsdale

BAILEY

“The Sweetheart”

7 y.o. fur-niece, brown Dachshund. Rescued from a puppy mill situation, Bailey has since blossomed from a sad, scrawny little thing into the biggest attention wh*ore, er, sweetheart, ever. She loves to smile and give you kisses after eating Brophy’s poop.

A Video.

And because if you look hard enough, you’ll probably find this video anyway, here’s something I put together a few years ago. I usually look like this. Once in a while, I wear my hair down and smile for the camera so I can have a decent photo for my about page.
